HUD releases application for Green Retrofit Program for federally subsidized housing projects

As part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, HUD is offering funds through their new Green Retrofit Program. The Green Retrofit Program offers grants and loans of up to $15,000 per unit for properties funded with HUD 202, 811, or 515 loans, and those with a Project Based Section 8 contract. Projects must have a minimum number of units in order to qualify. Application deadline is June 30, 2009.
