OHAP Board Member Recognized for her Work

On June 24, Governor Kulongoski signed Senate Bill 952. The bill expands tenant rights when their homes are faced with foreclosure. The bill also extends the no-cause eviction notice period from 30 days to 60 days for tenants who have lived in their units for more than one year. This bill would never have come about without the had work of Elisa Aguilera, co-director of the Community Alliance of Tenants and OHAP board member. The Willamette Week recognized her efforts by naming her Best Advocate for Low-Income Tenants in their July 22nd "Best People" issue. To read the Willamette Week article click here:
