Preserve Oregon Housing: Our Successes

So far, OHAP's loan fund has provided acquisition financing to eight properties at risk of losing their Section 8 subsidies. All were purchased by non-profit owners who have pledged to keep the properties permanently affordable. The eight properties total 287 deeply affordable units.

Even better, as of July 2009, three of those loans have been repaid as the owner secured permanent financing. This means over $2 million has been returned to the Fund and is available to preserve new properties.
